Purpose
You choose a photospheric magnetogram data set of Sun, You choose a model for the solar coronal magnetic field and You get your solution that you can explore in 3D.
Prerequisites
You must know the time for which you want a model of the coronal magnetic field.
Your work
1. Click on the " Choose your data set " button and you will be first conducted to a page which will allow you
to pick up a data set from a ftp server corresponding to a magnetogram , and then to visualize this data set in order to decide you reallly want to pursue modeling
with this data set.
Once the data set is viewed you can proceed to the second step by clicking on the button :
2. " Configure " and run your model, and you will be conducted to a new page which will allow you
to choose and configure the type of model you want to run on this data set : numerical resolution, dimensions .....
The model then run and you are a conducted to the final step of the process :
3. "Explore " your model page , where you are proposed a two dimensional view
of the magnetogram as a synoptic map as well as a three dimensional view of the sun with field lines
that can be traced almost interactively by entering launch points where you would like to trace field lines.
You can then fix parameters such as view points, zoom in or out ...
